The Bear Valley Cabin is perfectly located for all sorts of spring, summer, fall and winter activities. 

Non-Snow Activities include: 

Hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail, around Lake Alpine or down the Stanislaus River or many other beautiful areas. 

Mountain Biking on one of the many beautiful trails surrounding the cabin. 

Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddle Boarding on Lake Alpine or Bear Lake

Mountain bikes and boats can be rented in the summer from The Bear Valley Adventure Company

Wine Tasting down the hill in Murphys or Angels Camp; like Indian Rock Vineyards, Twisted Oak Winery and many more

Snow Activities include:

Alpine Skiing or Snowboarding at the Bear Valley Ski Area 

Cross Country Skiing at the Bear Valley Cross Country Ski area, which maintains the second largest set of groomed cross country trails in the U.S.

Snowshoeing out the back door of the cabin, snowshoes can be rented at The Bear Valley Adventure Company

Sledding on one of the many Snow Parks around the cabin. There are sleds at the cabin in the tool shed.
